The Swissôtel Howard Hotel is a modern property set in a quiet oasis just off the Thames Embankment. In spite of its somewhat spartan shell, the interior has retained sumptuous 18th century décorative touches, such as friezes, ornate ceilings and pillars. The spacious lobby is a case in point, being handsomely appointed with dark marble floors, a granite reception desk and crystal chandeliers. Overlooking the River Thames or the hotel's Garden Courtyard, the 189 guestrooms enjoy attractive views. The bedrooms are crisply decorated with a brown colour palette, complemented by dark-wood furniture, light wood floors, and lots of suede and leather, as well as splashes of white and red.
