The Shaftesbury hotel is located in the heart of London's West End, with bus stops directly in front of the hotel. Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus are a few minutes' walk away.

This completely refurbished boutique hotel occupies traditional red and white brick building. A narrow entrance leads to the small lobby. Comfortable seating is available in the guest lounge, upstairs. Each stylish guest room has subtle lighting, a personal computer complete with complimentary 24/7 broadband access, an en suite bathroom, bathrobes and more. Furnishings are stylish but discreet. Beds are King-size (except in the twin rooms) with purpose-built reading lamps and oversized smooth headboards. Guests can relax in the "Premier Bar," which is open all day for refreshments. The hotel also has two restaurant: the "Premier Restaurant" combines home-cooked meals with American diner-style snack options, whilst the "RV Indian Cuisine Restaurant" is a new restaurant serving the highest quality modern Indian cuisine.

When i stayed here the place was crawling with police because of those Russian spies that had been poisioned in London. I had a policeman outside my room 24 hours a day. It was unnerving and i don't think the hotel should have stayed open during this time.
