The Radisson Marlborough Hotel occupies a very traditional, Edwardian-style building with an intricate red brick façade and a distinctive corner tower. The medium sized lobby is particularly welcoming. Decorated in creams, greens and rich reds, it has old pictures hanging on the walls, an ornate ceiling and numerous other beautiful period details. The 173 medium guestrooms boast a warm English country house ambience with fin-de-siecle prints, traditional mahogany furniture, rich English fabrics and crisp cotton bed linen. The en suite bathrooms are clad in Sicilian marble, complemented by Jacob Delafon bathware. The Glass restaurant and bar, with its wall to wall mirrors and original artwork, is very inviting. Start with a drink, cosseted in unusually upholstered sofas and chairs. Then move on to the restaurant itself to enjoy the best of innovative British cooking. There's also the Solution Café bar, offering anything from sandwiches and soups to champagnes and café latte, all amidst a relaxed, comfortable contemporary setting.
